How I work

Person-centred roots

I work predominantly from a person-centred perspective which means that the therapeutic approach underpinning our sessions is driven by what you, the client, brings to therapy.  This reflects my belief that each person is truly unique and has the innate resources to resolve the issues and challenges they experience throughout life and ultimately to realise their incredible human potential.

My role is to build a professional relationship with you that enables you to access those resources and practice using them. We'll work with the issues you want to address, at a pace you're comfortable with, ensuring you feel safe and supported every step of the way.

I encourage open and honest communication as part of the collaborative partnership we build together, offering you the confidence and resilience you need to you achieve your personal therapy goals.

Finding your way in therapy

Integrative practice

My training and experience enables me to combine a range of therapeutic techniques and theories including Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) and Transactional Analysis (TA) in response the unique needs each of my client brings. My ability to adapt and draw from humanistic, psychodynamic and behavioural modalities enables me to offer truly personalised therapy and allows for a more holistic understanding of each client's experiences, promoting deeper, longer-lasting emotional and psychological healing.
